Design Brief
The Jones Family love to entertain within the kitchen space. The brief was to update their U-shaped large kitchen to improve the workflow and include an island bench for casual dining and socialising. To design a modern soft white kitchen in a door finish that minimised finger-prints, to add some elements of brass, and benchtops and splashback in a feature stone.
Design Outcomes
The Jones’ new kitchen is sleek and modern. Cabinetry is finished in a matt lacquer that resists fingerprints and is hard-wearing – perfect for a busy young family. Brushed brass lip pull handles and tapware adds a touch of elegance. Overhead cabinets are handless and panelled doors are evenly spaced to create clean lines. LED light stripes follow the underside of the overhead cabinets and warm white light washes down the feature Quartz stone splashback. The same warm-veined Quartz stone is installed on the benchtops and two waterfall ends of the Island Bench. The large Island Bench provides space for several stools for the family to mingle and have casual dining. The bench includes generous drawer storage and is positioned in the centre of the room to allow the family to easily move through the kitchen from both ends.
The kitchen has a soft modern feel with clean lines – not too minimal but enough detail to showcase the feature stone, metallic accents and cabinetry finish.

Ricky managed all the Trades so everything was streamlined, and the team communicated so well with one another that they were always able to tell me when the plumber/electrician would be back so I wasn’t left wondering. The quality of work was also outstanding and if there was a slight imperfection in a piece of cabinetry Ricky took it away to be mended and had it returned the next day.
Overall, the whole project was fast and smooth ensuring our family came out with exactly what we wanted with minimal disruption. Thanks to Tracy and Ricky for their hard work – I highly recommend!”
